Turns out, when you delete that Twitter account and they tell you it is permanent, that there is no restore option — well, it’s a lie. There is a restore option, you just have to look for it among their Help topics. I admit to being happy I could recover my email address to associate with the new account, but more upfront and honest messaging would still be nice.
